Seriously, What's Wrong With Me?

OK, I know I haven't really been feeling great lately...but I realized this morning something is seriously wrong with me.

Symptom 1: I've been rocking Good News For People Who Like Bad News like it's going out of style. And I'm really, really digging it.

Symptom 2: I really, really like The Game. In fact, I'm considering purchasing The Documentary and we all know I never actually buy music. Well, in all honesty, I wouldn't be considering purchasing it if I knew anyone who owned it. But I don't.

So you see, something is terribly wrong with me. Or at least my musical tastes. Modest Mouse? The Game? The fuck? It's like I've lost all concept of what is sonically pleasurable and I've been reduced to the equivalent of musical cheese-whiz. I can no longer keep this as my secret shame. I'm hoping that by exposing my problem to the public somebody will be able to help me regain my musical tastes...or at least get me into some sort of LP Promises or something. Harmonic Hazeldon? Well, at least my wit is still dead on.

So here's the thing... Modest Mouse used to really suck (the singer couldn't sing, but the musicians were all really good, but couldn't really put songs together), then all of a sudden they wrote this radio-friendly song (Float On) and a few others on that album that made people want to buy it.

One day long ago, I felt this way about System of a Down. I heard "Sugar" when that came out a long ass time ago, and hated it. Then I heard that other song, "Chop Suey," and hated that, then I heard "Toxicity v 7.0" and kinda liked it. then "Aerials" and liked that. Then I heard a cover of "The Metro" by Berlin and that was killer. So I got all into them and even started liking the stuff that I hated before, but now whenever a song comes on, I think, boy, why did I like this?

Same thing happened with Metallica.

Time for bed. Big work day tomorrow!

Thecharlie is so off. I have to say, Modest Mouse rocked the most circa "Lonesome Crowded West," which actually had "accesible" tunes - as did the Moon and Anarctica. I'll beat the shit out of anyone wo says anything to contradict me. Besides, dude likes System of a Down. Eww.
